2019 Chrysler 300
Although the Chrysler 300 is aging, the 2019 Chrysler 300 continues to impress. Furthering its appeal is the availability of an all-wheel drive and an extensive list of tech features, including an outstanding infotainment system that can accommodate Android Auto-enabled smartphones. While it’s true some of the 300’s competitors offer more fuel-efficient turbocharged and hybrid engine options, none offer the handling benefits of rear-wheel drive or the tire-burning horsepower of an available Hemi V8 engine.
3.6L V6 engine
Avail. Engine Type
The 300 has a 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 292 horsepower (300 horsepower in the 300S), and it’s standard. That’s the engine that moves the car with ease, and it also provides more than enough power in any driving situation. There’s a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission which comes standard.
For more power, there is the available 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that will produce 363 horsepower. Even though the base engine has ample power, the V8 has more vigor, and it’s the engine that most drivers prefer. With the base engine available, the 300 gets an EPA-estimation of 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
Handling & Braking
The 300 comes standard with a rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive is available. Ride comfort is the priority here, and the 300 generally has a smooth ride. This Chrysler’s handling draws mixed reviews.
With its small greenhouse, hard lines, and wide stance, Chrysler’s 2019 300 define the look of American luxury sedans, and the sporting 300S model has blacked-out elements. Chrysler offers the Sport Appearance and Chrome Appearance packages on the entry-level 300 Touring models, with both packages featuring 20-inch wheels. The top Hemi-powered 300C model gets the Platinum Chrome on its trim and grille.
The 2019 Chrysler 300 has premium materials throughout its cabin, which leads to an upscale feel that it’s not out of place in a luxury sedan. Both rows of seats are spacious. The infotainment system available is easy to use, and the trunk space is also vast enough for its class.
The 300 seats five people and it comes standard with a power-adjustable driver’s seat and cloth upholstery. There is Nappa leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel come available. The sedan features a spacious interior, and both rows have ample room for passengers.
There can be three seated across the back without any trouble. The large doors make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle, and it’s also easy to find a good driving position. The seats could provide more support.
The 300 comes standard with a Uconnect infotainment system which includes the 8.4-inch touch screen, satellite radio, a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, two USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It also has a panoramic sunroof, navigation, and two premium audio systems which are available. The Uconnect infotainment system is responsive and intuitive, which makes it one of the most user-friendly systems out.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 300 has a standard rearview camera. Available is driver assistance which features include rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.
