2024 Ram ProMaster

Engine Type

All 2024 Ram ProMaster vans are motivated by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that accelerates up to 276 horsepower and produces 250 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels. The ProMaster can tow up to 6,910 pounds and offers a maximum payload capacity of 4,680 pounds.

What’s new for 2024?

The ProMaster is largely unchanged for 2024, but buyers can now choose to add a heated steering wheel and a heated windshield as an option. Of note, an electric iteration of the Ram ProMaster is also expected to launch in 2024.

Exterior Features

On the outside, the 2024 Ram ProMaster offers a rear roll-up door. This is the only van in the segment to provide this feature. The vehicle also has bright halogen headlights as standard or optional LED headlights that provide 70 percent more illumination than dated non-LED lights. A three-piece front fascia positions those lights outside of the low-speed crash zone and offers a modular bumper with an integrated step for ease of reach to the windshield for cleaning and changing wiper blades. Additional exterior features include an optional Black Appearance Package with a black grille, badging, and alloy wheels. Moreover, the van comes in two additional colors, Ceramic Gray and Spitfire Orange.

Interior Features

The ProMaster provides the driver with an expansive, wide-angle view of the road. While the interior materials mainly consist of hard durable plastics, the dashboard incorporates a host of modern technology. For example, a 7.0-inch configurable display in the gauge cluster and a wireless device charger are both available. The Ram van’s dash also has a large and easily accessible storage tray beneath the glovebox. Those drivers looking to shuttle more than a couple of people can opt for the Crew Van package, which includes a second row of seats that will fit up to three people.

Entertainment

Every ProMaster comes with a user-friendly infotainment system that funnels through a 7.0-inch touchscreen. An even larger 10.0-inch unit is also available. Both touchscreens utilize the latest Uconnect 5 software, allowing over-the-air updates and offering a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot. Likewise, these units allow two devices to connect via Bluetooth simultaneously, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and have an Amazon Alexa voice-assistant feature.

Safety Features and Warranty

The 2024 Ram ProMaster provides a host of standard and optional driver-assistance features. For example, the van includes parallel and perpendicular parking assist, along with Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning, Crosswind Assist, a rear backup camera with dynamic gridlines, post-collision braking, Drowsiness Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, a push-button starter, keyless entry, and an electric parking brake. Optional safety features include the Park Assist feature, Intelligent Speed Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Information, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Active Drive Assist system, front parking sensors, auto high-beams with cornering function fog lamps, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. In terms of warranty, the limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles, while the powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles.
