Best-in-Class 2018 Ideal Vehicle Awards Names Four FCA Vehicles

September 20th, 2018 by

Automotive research and consulting firm, AutoPacific, Inc has awarded four FCA vehicles as segment winners in it’s 2018 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA). Based on the results from AutoPacific’s national New Vehicle Satisfaction Survey, more than 58,000 new car owners rated several vehicle attributes across all major manufacturers. The results showed that the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, and the Fiat 500L met or exceeded their expectations.

“IVAs speak to a vehicle’s layout and design,” says AutoPacific President George Peterson. “Giving owners a chance to tell us what they would change and how they would change it reveals which vehicles are designed to meet their needs and expectations. In other words, having owners who are happy with things the way they say the manufacturer did their upfront research and designed the vehicle with their target buyer in mind.”

The questionnaire that was administered from January through April of 2018 required new-model-year car and truck owners to rate 14 vehicle attributes in regards to their desire for change. Specifically, the owners had to have purchased their new vehicles between September through December of 2017 to participate in the survey. Out of those responses, the cars wanting the least amount of change, win the IVA for their class.
