Rugged Beauty: 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4
We live in a society where consumers demand more from their vehicles, aside from just their basic function. Once state-of-the-art technology and rugged beauty are combined, the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab really proves to be a Cowboys Cadillac. Since its initial release in 2018, the 2019 Ram 1500 has been making headlines and the Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 model is no exception.
Comfort + Convenience
For those consumers interested in taking this beast for a ride, they can enjoy the Laramie Crew Cab’s luxurious interior cabin that’s outfitted with a full leather trim upholstery, chromed-metal fixtures, and a spacious bench seat in the second row that seats more than five passengers comfortably. New for the 2019 model year, the interior cabin has been expanded by 4-inches, allowing for 45.1-inches of legroom in the second row and seats that can recline up to eight degrees. For added comfort and convenience, all of the seats in the Laramie trim are heated, but ventilation can only be found in the front seats. In order to make more room for cargo that can’t be stored on the truck bed, the 40/20/40 fold-down bench seats can be configured with the under seat storage option,
Added storage options include, RamBins with integrated tie-down loops for additional security and the best-in-class RamBox Cargo Management System. The RamBox Cargo System is returning for the 2019 model year and can be installed into the sides of the truck bed as an optional add-on. No stone was left unturned when designing the interior cabin of the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab trim, especially in terms of entertainment. Consumers are given the option to get the popular 12-inch touchscreen display, rather than the standard 8.4-inch touchscreen. Furthermore, the Laramie trim is also standard with the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, with the option to upgrade to Uconnect 4C for enhanced smartphone capabilities.
High Performance Luxury
The 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 model isn’t only meant for cruising in style, under the hood is all business. Powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that can produce up to 410 lb-ft of torque that allows for a maximum towing capacity of 11,340 pounds and when properly equipped, a payload capacity of 1,770 pounds. The 5.7-liter engine is matched to an eight-speed automatic 8HP75 transmission, with the option of upgrading to an eTorque System. The V8 engine also includes Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a Multi-Displacement System (MDS). According to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), VVT improves engine breathing, which improves engine efficiency and power. Ram’s fuel-saving MDS seamlessly alternates between smooth, high-fuel-economy four-cylinder mode when less power is needed, and V-8 mode when more power from the new 5.7-liter HEMI engine is in demand.
For the 2019 model year, FCA engineers decreased the trucks weight by 225 lbs through the use of high-strength, steel, composites, and aluminum. The Ram 1500 Laramie also features active air dams and upper grille shutters that result in enhancing aerodynamics while driving at higher speeds. On the highway, electronic stability controls and roll suppression make those highway-lane changes for the Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab less of a potential anxiety attack. The Laramie’s width may serve as a challenge when attempting those narrow city streets or tight parking spaces, but thanks to lane departure and blind-spot sensors, along with ParkSense ultrasonic parallel and perpendicular parking sensors, those tight parking spaces are a piece of cake.
It’s true, the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab might be a bit long for city-folk, but who said a little extra walking was a bad thing? Stay updated on Cape Coral DCJR social media for more information on the all-new Ram 1500.
