Highlight Reel of New 2019 Pacifica Hybrid
The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid was considered by many to be a fantastic minivan and won many accolades, highlighted by Cars.com “Family Car of the Year” and Northwest Automotive Press Association’s “Northwest Green Vehicle of the Year”. How could the next Pacifica Hybrid get any better? We now know exactly what Chrysler has planned for the new 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The Pacifica Hybrid will have a total of three trims including the Touring Plus, Touring L, and Limited. Let’s share some of the best things about the Chrysler Pacifica, how it works and what’s new in the 2019 model.
The latest improvements to the Pacifica Hybrid can be found to include a 20 Harman Kardon speaker system in the available Uconnect Theater package, a new S Appearance package that will cost $595 and give a sharp, aggressive, blacked-out appearance to the body of the Pacifica plug-in. The appearance package will be an available option when the 2019 Pacifica Hybrid goes on sale later into the model year. This blacked-out appearance includes gloss black trim on the grille, black roof rails, and a set of 18-inch wheels listed as “Black Noise”. The interior carries a Light Diesel Gray theme and an “S” logo to denote the name of the S package.
Hybrid Technology in the Pacifica
The hybrid technology in the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica takes advantage of two electric motors located in the heart of the vehicle: a 16 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 engine. They both help make this vehicle heads and tails above the competition. During electric only operation, thanks to the innovated eFlight, electronically variable transmission (EVT) and a one-way clutch, both motors can work together to power the front wheels. In hybrid mode, the Pentastar V6 engine works to power the vehicle and charge the battery pack. There’s no need for a driver to select modes, thanks to the electric motor initially operating until depletion in hybrid mode. The electric motor provides up to 33 miles of travel before needing the help of the Pentastar engine. Powerful and dynamic, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has never been better. A large reason for that is the high tech features provided by Chrysler.
The new 4th generation Uconnect allows for drivers to set up a charging schedule and configure a two-week driving history to view one’s fuel economy easily. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard for the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. There’s also an app that pairs the vehicle with a smartphone to use features with just the push of a button. Lock and unlock doors, warm or cool the vehicle and find where the Pacifica is so drivers never have to walk around a parking lot lost looking for their vehicle again. For long road trips, there’s a great way to keep the kids entertained with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 4G LTE capabilities with unlimited data. This unlimited data is offered for only $20 a month through AT&T for Chrysler Pacifica owners. Reliable wireless connectivity works up to eight devices, which is great for long trips to keep everyone entertained. There’s so much to love about the Chrysler Pacifica, we couldn’t possibly name every great feature, which is summed up best by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
“With the introduction of the Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid, FCA US adds 37 minivan firsts to its portfolio for an unprecedented total of 115 innovations in the segment, including the industry’s first minivan available as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle,” reports FCA.
