Back in 2017, the automaker Ram released truck editions especially designed for the farmers of America. Known as the 2018 Ram Harvest Edition, this was the end-all light-duty pickup truck for farmers who need a little extra help when grooming the land. The 2018 Ram Harvest Edition for the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 lineups was available in all four-door Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab configurations, all box lengths, and all powertrains. That means farmers could also choose whether they wanted a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, or 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine depending on their payload and towing needs. For 2018 and 2019, Ram returns with the Ram Harvest Edition for the 3500, 4500, and 5500 heavy-duty pickup trucks and Chassis Cabs.

“Addressing a direct request from farmers, Ram is the only manufacturer to offer Chassis Cab commercial trucks in colors that match two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation…The Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab delivers high capability and gives farming families a way to show their agricultural brand loyalty.” – Jim Morrison, Head of Ram Brand – FCA North America.

That’s right, as noted, this Ram was designed specifically for farmers and the day-to-day duties they deal with. To make it a little easier to plan ahead, the 2018 Ram Harvest Edition comes available with an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen radio with navigation, 4G Wi-Fi capability, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fingertip access to smartphone map mirroring, and Sirius Weather with up-to-the minute weather maps and forecasts customizable to any location in the nation. Keep the truck out of tough situations with large front tow hooks, a transfer-case skid plate, side steps, fog lamps, and a rear back-up camera. While behind the wheel, enjoy an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering-wheel audio controls, and a power-sliding rear window (Crew Cab only).

When looking for power, the Ram Harvest Edition on the 3500, 4500, and 5500 can tow up to 31,000 pounds when properly equipped. Interested about the various configurations for the 1500 and 2500? The Harvest Edition has been made available for the Ram 3500 in both, a single-rear wheel and dual-rear wheel configuration, and the 4500 and 5500 with either a 60-inch or 80-inch cab-to-axle length.
